Naptime in the stroller...
Ethan's super-clearance summer REI "flap happy" hat. I like it because it covers the back of his neck from the sun!
On a "hike" out at Liberty Lake!
Ethan's first lawn-mowing job with Daddy. He's a big helper : )
A pre-race shot of the boys before Brett ran the Sundae Sunday 10 mile race yesterday. I didn't take a picture after the race but he did great and had a really fun time. We were his cheerleaders as he came into the finish line. "Go Daddy Go!"

Vacation!
We went on a little vacation after Brett finished his last final for the quarter! We spent the first night in Leavenworth. Here is Ethan getting a driving lesson at the Starbucks parking lot in Ritzville.
This is before our vacation but we have gone on a couple fun bike rides with Ethan in his little bike trailer. Brett's sister gave us the bike trailer since her two kiddos have outgrown it. Ethan enjoys it!
Here's the view of the river from our little room in Leavenworth. So beautiful and really hot out!
Here's Ethan and Daddy in the pool. He loves swimming!
Here's a goofy picture of us all at the Leavenworth hat shop. Brett and Ethan weren't too excited about trying on hats and taking pictures at first, but I think they cooperated nicely : ).

crawling or something like that
Ethan has been "crawling" for awhile now, but more than once people say "I've never seen a baby crawl like that!" He's added some rolling over in with his crawl so all that to say...it's special. Oh, he loves cell phones...he'll pretty much do anything to get to one of our phones.

Baby!
Well, we had our baby's 20 week ultrasound appointment today! Praise God everything looked great. We are having ANOTHER BOY!!! He was really moving all over the place during the ultrasound but his little face is super cute and from the ultrasonographer's perspective, he looks really healthy. So, we are pretty confident we are going to name him SETH but we have not nailed down a middle name yet...we are in love!

teeth and swimsuit season
So, Ethan offically has his first two teeth...even though they are kinda hard to see in this picture. We spent a couple days at the lake and he wore his little duck swimsuit for the first time. Fun times...he slept through his first Fourth of July celebration at the lake!

Seaside, Oregon
We just got back from a little family vacation at Seaside, Oregon. It was great--no rain! We were able to relax, watch some movies, go for nice long walks, eat good food and explore the coast. We had a great time and were really refreshed when we got home. Ethan's doing well. He got his two bottom teeth recently!

costco.com idea
So I was just looking on the Costco photo website the other day at their different projects. They had this idea to make photo collage and I'd seen one before so I decided to make one. I thought it turned out cute and it's a fun way to capture a bunch of pics when I couldn't decide which one I liked the most! They had four different sizes to choose from, you can pick up to 30 photos, different color backgrounds, you can pick it up the next day and this one (12"x18") cost $2.99.

Trip to the falls
We went downtown last night to see the falls. They were incredible! I love to see God's power displayed through His creation. "Let the sea roar and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together before the Lord..." Psalm 98:7-9a

Doctor visits and duck feet
So yesterday was a doctor visit day...I had an OB appointment and Ethan had his six month check up. Little baby Hughes is doing well. I love hearing the heart beat! It's precious. Ethan's appointment went well. He's growing and healthy and we are thankful! It's always hard when he has to get his shots. He handled them very well yesterday, but I can tell he's a little warmer, fussier, and sleepier today than normal. Tylenol is a big help! Here's a few pics from the morning...Ethan with his duck feet.

Oh Baby....!
So...the big news for the Hughes family is that we are having another baby!!! When we found out we were in excited shock. I am 10 weeks on Friday according to my due date of December 5 (exactly 13 months from Ethan's due date)! So, we are getting more and more excited as we get more and more adjusted to the fact that we are actually going to be parents again : ). Overall, feeling pretty normal...just tired! God has been good and His timing is perfect. Ethan is doing well. He is sitting up and rolling half-way over--we're making progress! He has begun eating baby food and loving almost every bite ("Winter Squash" wasn't his first choice).
